SERVICE PROJECTS   Three of the "Four Avenues of Service" fall under the umbrella of the "Service Projects" Committee in the new Rotary Leadership Plan. These include: Community Service , International Service and Vocational Service. For more information on these avenues of service and their projects simply click on the avenue of your choice above. Our Signature Community Service activity is the Wenatchee Sunrise Rotary Challenge Scholar Program. This unusual scholarship is a cornerstone to Wenatchee Sunrise Rotary's commitment to the youth of our community. This scholarship is not a conventional "reward the deserving" type of award. Rather, Sunrise Rotary chooses to offer students who are at risk of failing to complete high school an incentive to graduate and go on to college. Each student identified by the Challenge Scholar committee who graduates from high school is offered a two year scholarship to Wenatchee Valley College, or they may attend the school of their choice with a scholarship funded at the community college level.
