The club was formed in February 17, 1986 by its charter club, Wenatchee Rotary. Past District Governor Ray Shutt was a driving force behind its formation. RI President and Wenatchee Rotary club member Dr. Ed Cadman signed the club's charter, and its charter president was chiropractor Gordon Law. Interestingly, Wenatchee Rotary club's 1985-86 club president Dr. Milt Herman, is now 2003-04 President of Wenatchee Sunrise!
